    Does it work outdoors?

    While the device is primarily designed for indoor use, it can also be effectively used outdoors, especially on calm days. However, its efficacy may vary depending on outdoor conditions such as wind speed and air turbulence.

    Which airflow should I use?

    Will Respiray Wear A+ make my eyes dry?

    Respiray Wear A+ does create a light breeze around the face, but as long as you don’t suffer from dry eye syndrome or Sjögren’s syndrome it shouldn’t cause you any problems. If you suffer from one of these conditions, we advise you to consult with your doctor first.

    Can children wear Respiray Wear A+?

    Respiray Wear A+ is available in one size only, with an adjustable strap that makes it easy to alter the distance between the user’s face and the device, meaning it can be comfortably worn by people of various heights and body types. It is not recommended that Wear A+ is worn by children under 13 years of age.

    How comfortable is Respiray Wear A+ to wear?

    Respiray Wear A+ is super light. It is comfortable to wear thanks to its ergonomic design and the included strap cushion provides extra comfort. When 200 participants tested Wear A+, only 3 people reported that it made their eyes dry, and only 2 reported that the device was heavy to wear.     Can Respiray Wear A+ be worn on airplanes?

    Yes, Respiray Wear A+ can be worn safely on airplanes. It is an ideal solution to have before the airplane ventilation system is turned on to protect yourself against airborne particles such as viruses, allergens and other airborne pollutants. However, it may be slightly less effective than in a normal indoor environment as soon as airplane ventilation systems are turned on as they are powerful enough to create air movement, which could potentially affect the allergen-free air zone created by the device.

    A. No.  Currently Boneco and Airfree are only available in the USA.

    Q. What happens if my shipment gets lost or stolen and I never receive it?
    A. 
    Unfortunately these things do happen. We normally will suggest checking around the perimeter of your house, with neighbors, with your front desk or building manager just to see if the item was accidentally delivered nearby. In most cases, customers let us know they have found their delivery. In the case that you still cannot locate your shipment, although the tracking shows it was delivered please contact us. We will immediately escalate a ticket to the manufacturer to open an investigation with UPS / FedEx / other carrier to begin the investigation process. Generally these investigations can take between 1-2 weeks depending on the shipping carrier. They normally have to interview to driver, request proof of delivery and go through several other detailed steps. We cannot move forward towards a resolution until we have allowed the shipping carrier to conduct their full investigation and provide us with their findings. We appreciate your understanding. 

    Q. How safe is my personal  information when I place an order online?

    Q. Are the products we sell new and what is the warranty on them?
    A.
    We only sell NEW items on our website. We ship directly from the manufacturer and each item is brand new. We do not sell refurbished or used units. All new items come with manufacturer's warranties as stated on our product pages (these can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer) and some require you to register your unit as stated in the manual. In the future we may offer open box units, which will be in new condition and clearly stated on the site. 

    Q. When I opened my box, my air purifier was dirty with black substance all over it. Is my air purifier used?
    A.
    We only sell brand new air purifiers shipped directly from the manufacturer. Your unit always leaves the manufacturer in brand new condition.  The black substance on the surface is carbon residue / dust. This is caused when the shipping company jostles the unit too much during shipping. Some residual or powder from the packed carbon filter inside your air purifier can get on the units outside. It happens very infrequently, but it does happen from time to time across all manufacturers. Just take rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and rub the surface. The carbon residue / dust will come right off your unit so that it is in the new condition just like it left the manufacturer in. 

    Q. How will I know if the item I ordered is on backorder or out of stock?
    A.
    We make every effort to get your order to you as soon as possible. Each manufacturer varies and is stated on our "Shipping & Returns" page. If there is a problem with your order or we discover the item is back ordered, you will receive an email with more information and options. 

    Q. Are expedited orders delivery days guaranteed?
    A.
    No. Unfortunately UPS and Fedex do not guarantee shipments for expedited orders. There are elements outside if their control like weather that may impact the delivery day. So expedited orders are not guaranteed or refundable.

    Q. My Austin Air Unit tag says it is an HM400 or HM200 but I ordered something else? 
    A. 
    The HM400 and HM200 are actually part #'s. Not model #'s.  The frame on each standard size unit is the same and will say HM400 on the tag no matter which standard size unit purchased and HM200 on the Jr model tag no matter which Jr unit purchased. The models are the name on the front label of the unit. For standard size units, the models are the Healthmate, Healthmate Plus, Bedroom Machine, or Allergy Machine. For Jr size units, the models are Healthmate Jr, Healthmate Jr Plus, Allergy Machine Jr, or Baby Air Purifier. You can make sure you have the correct filters for the model you ordered by opening the filter access door on the bottom of your unit.  The filter type corresponding to your model name on the label and will be visible on the edge of the filters. We use the part #'s in our descriptions and titles because many people associate those with the models. 

    Q. What are our shipping charges/methods?
    A.
    When we have a free shipping special, it only applies to orders within the contiguous U.S (the lower 48 states) and Canada, unless noted otherwise for specialty items on the ordering documents. We always use the least expensive shipping method between Fedex, UPS, US Postal, or freight. If you would like expedited shipping or if you are ordering outside of the lower 48 states and Canada please Contract Us for a shipping quote. We will provide the shipping costs and any other associated fee's as part of your quote. See our "Shipping & Returns" page for more information.

    All expedited shipping options require you to Contract Us for a quote.

      If we are aware of a potential delay in shipping for an item due to seasonal demand, we will indicate the known shipping delay time on the product page or indicate "Contact Us for Availability" above the product price. Most of our items will ship within one or three business days.

      Q. Will I have to pay sales tax on my order?
      A.
       We not charge sales tax for most US states. However we are required to collect taxes if we ship to any of the following CA, IL, NC, NJ, MA, ME, PA or WA.

      Q. Why does my unit have a smell when I first get it? 
      A.
       Some customers will can smell carbon. Others do not depending on smell sensitivities. Some customers report that they smell it when they receive the unit. Most customers report that they no longer smell it after a few days. A very small set of customers with very sensitive sensories may smell it past the first week. Coconut Shell blend carbons have sometimes been described as a light buttery smell associated with popping popcorn.  Potassium Permanganate and Potassium Iodide will sometimes have smells associated with it, but as indicated most all customers report no longer smelling after the unit break phase, unless they have very sensitive smell.

      Q. Why does my filter have scratches or marks on it making it look used?
      A. We only ship brand new items that are manufactured, packaged and shipped directly from every manufacturer we represent. The metal endcaps on HEPA and Carbon filters are machine fabricated. Part of the machining process can cause varying degrees of scratches on it.  These are normal parts of the machining process and do not affect performance or efficiency.  Because the filters are installed inside of the unit and can not be seen visually, the manufacturers do not worry about having the surfaces refinished for esthetics. That would incur additional costs. 

      Q. Why was my unit packed upside down in the box?
      A.
       When you order a unit that has casters/wheels on it, the manufacturers will always pack them upside down. This is a normal process. The units are not used as we only ship brand new units direct from the manufacturer. The reason for this process, is to relieve pressure off the casters/wheels to reduce the chance of damage during shipping. 

      Q. How do I know which type of filter to order for my unit?
      A.
      If you are unsure what type of unit or filter you have, please contact us before placing an order. The easiest way to determine is to send us a picture of your unit/filter so we can assist you in choosing the correct ones. If you do not see your unit/filter on our site because it may be older/discontinued, please contact us as we sometimes can do custom orders on items we do not advertise. Our team is available to help you make the right choice before ordering. Please see our "Contact Us" page for all phone and email contact information. 

      Q. I seem to react to the carbon. Why is that?
      A. 
      In a very small number of individuals, it has been reported that they have reactions like coughing, etc. Per mfgs this is related to the either the coconut shell blend in the carbon, potassium iodide, or potassium permanganate.       Does it work outdoors?

      Will Respiray Wear A+ make my eyes dry?

      Respiray Wear A+ does create a light breeze around the face, but as long as you don’t suffer from dry eye syndrome or Sjögren’s syndrome it shouldn’t cause you any problems. If you suffer from one of these conditions, we advise you to consult with your doctor first.

      Can children wear Respiray Wear A+?

      Respiray Wear A+ is available in one size only, with an adjustable strap that makes it easy to alter the distance between the user’s face and the device, meaning it can be comfortably worn by people of various heights and body types. It is not recommended that Wear A+ is worn by children under 13 years of age.

      How comfortable is Respiray Wear A+ to wear?

      Respiray Wear A+ is super light. It is comfortable to wear thanks to its ergonomic design and the included strap cushion provides extra comfort. When 200 participants tested Wear A+, only 3 people reported that it made their eyes dry, and only 2 reported that the device was heavy to wear.       Can Respiray Wear A+ be worn on airplanes?

      Yes, Respiray Wear A+ can be worn safely on airplanes. It is an ideal solution to have before the airplane ventilation system is turned on to protect yourself against airborne particles such as viruses, allergens and other airborne pollutants.       Q. What happens if my shipment gets lost or stolen and I never receive it?
      A. 
      Unfortunately these things do happen. We normally will suggest checking around the perimeter of your house, with neighbors, with your front desk or building manager just to see if the item was accidentally delivered nearby. In most cases, customers let us know they have found their delivery. In the case that you still cannot locate your shipment, although the tracking shows it was delivered please contact us. We will immediately escalate a ticket to the manufacturer to open an investigation with UPS / FedEx / other carrier to begin the investigation process. Generally these investigations can take between 1-2 weeks depending on the shipping carrier. They normally have to interview to driver, request proof of delivery and go through several other detailed steps. We cannot move forward towards a resolution until we have allowed the shipping carrier to conduct their full investigation and provide us with their findings. We appreciate your understanding. 

      Q. How safe is my personal  information when I place an order online?

      Q. Are the products we sell new and what is the warranty on them?
      A.
      We only sell NEW items on our website. We ship directly from the manufacturer and each item is brand new. We do not sell refurbished or used units. All new items come with manufacturer's warranties as stated on our product pages (these can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer) and some require you to register your unit as stated in the manual. In the future we may offer open box units, which will be in new condition and clearly stated on the site. 

      Q. When I opened my box, my air purifier was dirty with black substance all over it. Is my air purifier used?
      A.
      We only sell brand new air purifiers shipped directly from the manufacturer. Your unit always leaves the manufacturer in brand new condition.  The black substance on the surface is carbon residue / dust. This is caused when the shipping company jostles the unit too much during shipping. Some residual or powder from the packed carbon filter inside your air purifier can get on the units outside. It happens very infrequently, but it does happen from time to time across all manufacturers. Just take rubbing alcohol on a soft cloth and rub the surface. The carbon residue / dust will come right off your unit so that it is in the new condition just like it left the manufacturer in. 

      Q. How will I know if the item I ordered is on backorder or out of stock?
      A.
      We make every effort to get your order to you as soon as possible. Each manufacturer varies and is stated on our "Shipping & Returns" page. If there is a problem with your order or we discover the item is back ordered, you will receive an email with more information and options. 

      Q. Are expedited orders delivery days guaranteed?
      A.
      No. Unfortunately UPS and Fedex do not guarantee shipments for expedited orders. There are elements outside if their control like weather that may impact the delivery day. So expedited orders are not guaranteed or refundable.

      Q. My Austin Air Unit tag says it is an HM400 or HM200 but I ordered something else? 
      A. 
      The HM400 and HM200 are actually part #'s. Not model #'s.  The frame on each standard size unit is the same and will say HM400 on the tag no matter which standard size unit purchased and HM200 on the Jr model tag no matter which Jr unit purchased. The models are the name on the front label of the unit. For standard size units, the models are the Healthmate, Healthmate Plus, Bedroom Machine, or Allergy Machine. For Jr size units, the models are Healthmate Jr, Healthmate Jr Plus, Allergy Machine Jr, or Baby Air Purifier. You can make sure you have the correct filters for the model you ordered by opening the filter access door on the bottom of your unit.  The filter type corresponding to your model name on the label and will be visible on the edge of the filters. We use the part #'s in our descriptions and titles because many people associate those with the models. 

      Q. What are our shipping charges/methods?
      A.
      When we have a free shipping special, it only applies to orders within the contiguous U.S (the lower 48 states) and Canada, unless noted otherwise for specialty items on the ordering documents. We always use the least expensive shipping method between Fedex, UPS, US Postal, or freight. If you would like expedited shipping or if you are ordering outside of the lower 48 states and Canada please Contract Us for a shipping quote. We will provide the shipping costs and any other associated fee's as part of your quote. See our "Shipping & Returns" page for more information.

      All expedited shipping options require you to Contract Us for a quote.

        If we are aware of a potential delay in shipping for an item due to seasonal demand, we will indicate the known shipping delay time on the product page or indicate "Contact Us for Availability" above the product price. Most of our items will ship within one or three business days.

        Q. Will I have to pay sales tax on my order?
        A.
         We not charge sales tax for most US states. However we are required to collect taxes if we ship to any of the following CA, IL, NC, NJ, MA, ME, PA or WA.

        Q. Why does my unit have a smell when I first get it? 
        A.
         Some customers will can smell carbon. Others do not depending on smell sensitivities. Some customers report that they smell it when they receive the unit. Most customers report that they no longer smell it after a few days. A very small set of customers with very sensitive sensories may smell it past the first week. Coconut Shell blend carbons have sometimes been described as a light buttery smell associated with popping popcorn.  Potassium Permanganate and Potassium Iodide will sometimes have smells associated with it, but as indicated most all customers report no longer smelling after the unit break phase, unless they have very sensitive smell.

        Q. Why does my filter have scratches or marks on it making it look used?
        A. We only ship brand new items that are manufactured, packaged and shipped directly from every manufacturer we represent. The metal endcaps on HEPA and Carbon filters are machine fabricated. Part of the machining process can cause varying degrees of scratches on it.  These are normal parts of the machining process and do not affect performance or efficiency.  Because the filters are installed inside of the unit and can not be seen visually, the manufacturers do not worry about having the surfaces refinished for esthetics. That would incur additional costs. 

        Q. Why was my unit packed upside down in the box?
        A.
         When you order a unit that has casters/wheels on it, the manufacturers will always pack them upside down. This is a normal process. The units are not used as we only ship brand new units direct from the manufacturer. The reason for this process, is to relieve pressure off the casters/wheels to reduce the chance of damage during shipping. 

        Q. How do I know which type of filter to order for my unit?
        A.
        If you are unsure what type of unit or filter you have, please contact us before placing an order. The easiest way to determine is to send us a picture of your unit/filter so we can assist you in choosing the correct ones. If you do not see your unit/filter on our site because it may be older/discontinued, please contact us as we sometimes can do custom orders on items we do not advertise.         Q. I seem to react to the carbon. Why is that?
        A. 
        In a very small number of individuals, it has been reported that they have reactions like coughing, etc. Per mfgs this is related to the either the coconut shell blend in the carbon, potassium iodide, or potassium permanganate.
