  1. It is important to sit in a comfortable position or lie flat on the floor or some other flat comfortable surface such as your bed.
  2. It is import to settle and relax
  3. Start by putting one hand on your stomach and the other on your chest
  4. Now during the actual breathing focus and feeling the breathing. Be aware of the air as it travels through your nostrils and mouth. This will help you relax and block out other negative things that happening in your life
    • Start by breathing in through your nose for 2-3 seconds
    • Focus on and visual the air traveling through your nostrils, down your throat and into your abdomen.
    • Make sure to expand your stomach while keeping your chest movement to a minimum.
    • So you stomach expands and your chest does not.
    • Take in as much air as you feel comfortable.
  5. Now for exhaling, you once again want to have all the movement in your stomach by pulling it in and pressing gently with your hand. All while keeping the chest still.   Your lips should be shaped like your drinking with a straw.
  6. Again, concentrate and try to visual the air passing from your stomach back out through your mouth.
  7. You repeat this several times. You can do this throughout the day as well.
